See the transformation
From everyday selfie to UK visa-ready photo

One upload. Four fixes in one pass.
Drag the handle on the slider to compare. Every submitted photo runs through the same checks, in the same order:
- Background — Removed clutter, normalized to a plain light tone per UKVI spec.
- Crop & head size — Re-centered with the head sized for UKVI's 29–34 mm rule and 4:5 portrait frame.
- Lighting — Even, no harsh shadows across the face or background.
- Sharpness & dimensions — Exported as a 600 × 750 px JPEG (UKVI online upload spec), vertical orientation, 50 KB–10 MB.
Our advantage
Take the right photo, the first time
Live arrows show you exactly what to fix — tilt, lighting, head size, background, shadows — before you tap shutter. Most issues get caught in the viewfinder, not after upload. Everything runs in your browser, in real time.
Real-time face centering
468 facial landmarks tracked live as you frame — no upload, no waiting.
Real-time tilt warning
Tilt, off-center, too close? We tell you which way to correct, the moment you need to.
Exposure & shadow checks
Brightness, lighting balance, and shadows across the face — all checked before submit unlocks.
Everything runs in your browser. Your face never leaves your device until you submit.

No AI face alteration. We process your photo, not your identity.
What we do
- Crop and resize to 600 × 750 (UKVI online upload spec)
- Replace background with a plain, light tone
- Normalize lighting and exposure
- Check compliance with UK Home Office rules
What we don’t do
- Alter your facial features
- Smooth or retouch skin
- Modify eyes, nose, or mouth
- Mirror or flip your photo
UKVI requires photos to be unaltered by software — and they must not be mirrored or flipped. We crop, resize, adjust the background, and check compliance; we do not change your face, skin, or identity.

We don't use AI to alter faces — only crop, resize, and background normalization.

Scope: This service is for UK visa photos only. UK passport photos share most of the same rules; check the gov.uk passport-photo guidance if you need that instead. Other countries' visa photos have different requirements and are not supported here.
Common reasons photos get rejected
- Smiling or mouth open — UKVI requires a plain expression with mouth closed
- Head outside the 29–34 mm range (≈ 46–54% of the 600 × 750 digital height)
- Background isn't plain or doesn't contrast clearly with you
- Other objects or people in the frame
- Visible shadow on your face or behind you
- Red eye, eyes covered by hair, or anything covering your face
- Photo is mirrored, flipped, or edited by software
- Pre-cropped source missing head, shoulders, or upper body
- Photo older than 1 month, or reusing an old photo from a previous application
- Below 600 × 750 px or under 50 KB / over 10 MB

Our guarantee
Your card is never charged until we deliver a photo that passes our compliance check. If a delivered photo is rejected by the UK Home Office or a visa application centre due to a photo compliance issue we should have caught, we'll reprocess it for free — see our refund policy for details. Photo acceptance is ultimately at the discretion of the caseworker, so we can't promise approval, but we do promise the photo we deliver will meet every published technical requirement.
